InsurEco weekly roundup: week of October 19, 2026
The week of October 19, 2026 was quiet on the publishing side, with one new post from loss.run on taking the friction out of loss run requests. Elsewhere, the team shipped a claims integration guide for PolicyOS and updated two of the company's public-facing sites.

Stop chasing loss runs (loss.run, October 20)
Requesting a loss run should take a minute, not three follow-up emails. That is the argument of this week's post from loss.run, which also notes that requesting a loss run on loss.run is free.
For agents and brokers, loss runs are a routine but often slow part of quoting and renewals. The post makes the case that the request itself should not be the bottleneck.

What shipped across InsurEco
PolicyOS: a claims integration guide for third-party administrators (October 19)
PolicyOS published a new integration guide explaining how a third-party administrator can send claims into iec-claims. The guide covers three ways to do it: a bordereau file, an API pull or an API push.
Three points in the guide matter most for anyone planning an integration:
- The claim number is the key. Claims are matched on their claim number.
- Repeated sends change nothing. Sending the same data again does not alter the record, so a retry or a duplicate file does not create problems.
- A person's changes are never overwritten. Edits made by a person in the system are kept, even when new data arrives from the administrator.
Together these mean an administrator can choose the delivery method that fits its operations, and claims teams can work in the system without worrying that an automated feed will undo their changes.
InsurEco News: the home page (October 20)
The home page of InsurEco News, this hub, is now in place. It is organized as a wire-style news hub with desks covering areas of the company, including InsurEco, InsurEco AI, Jefferson, PolicyOS, PolicyPay, RaterSpot and the press room.
The home page carries a live feed of new items and links to RSS and press. Readers who want to follow a particular product or area can start from its desk, and those who prefer a feed reader can subscribe through RSS.
My Life, My Data: home page updated (October 19)
The home page of the My Life, My Data site was updated with its ownership message, along with examples drawn from Meta and LinkedIn and a list of what is live and what is coming.
As of this update, letters to representatives are live. The other items on the list are marked as coming. The live and coming list gives visitors a clear view of what they can use today and what is still in progress.
