InsurEco weekly roundup: week of October 12, 2026
The week of October 12 centred on the Insurance Data Trust, which gained four new pages explaining its principles, its pledge and how it works. Alongside it, InsurEco published a Relay setup guide, a user guide for Quill Notify and a set of updates to askjefferson.com.
Insurance Data Trust
Four pages for the Insurance Data Trust went up on October 14. Together they describe how insurance data should be held and shared, and what tools will support that. The pledge is live now; the shared infrastructure launches with Voyager.
- Manifesto. Titled "Insurance data you can trust," this page describes the problem of insurance data moving without the involvement of the people it describes. It sets out three principles: every record has an owner, every access is visible, and sharing happens with consent.
- The Pledge. This page lists five commitments on how organizations hold and share insurance data. It includes a signing form for organizations and regulators who want to take part.
- How it works. A plain-language explanation of the Trust's mechanics: consent receipts, a visible access log and anonymous pooling, along with the privacy protections that apply to the pool. It is the page to start with for anyone new to the Trust.
- Regulators. Written for state insurance regulators, this page covers the pledge, consent receipts, an access log anchored on InsureBio and an anonymous data pool. It gives regulators a single reference for what the Trust commits to and how it can be checked.
Relay
A new guide published on October 15 explains how Relay can send email from your own domain rather than the default InsurEco sending address. It walks platform admins through registering and verifying a domain, then allowing a service to send as a given address. For teams that want outgoing messages to carry their own name, this is the reference to follow.
Jefferson and askjefferson.com
Several Jefferson pages were published or updated during the week.
- Site restructure. On October 13, askjefferson.com moved to site version 21 with a new menu and sitemap. Every menu item now leads to its own page, all pages share one menu bar and footer, and Home is now a short overview. A page documenting the change was published the same day.
- Meetings. The Jefferson Meetings page was updated. It describes Jefferson taking meeting notes, keeping recordings on InsurEco's own servers, asking each participant about recording, and turning promises made in a meeting into action items.
- Meetings: how it works. A new companion page explains Meetings step by step, from starting a room to keeping the notes. It covers recorded and private rooms, joining, recording notices and what is available after the call.
- Chaac. A new page describes Chaac, the insurance AI that Jefferson runs on, and chaacBots, which handle errands at carriers such as quotes, applications and loss runs. The page states that the user approves every plan, and it lists pricing that is subject to change.
Quill Notify
A user guide for Quill Notify was published on October 14. Quill Notify is a Mac menu bar app that connects users to Jefferson for alerts, mail decisions and team chat. The guide, based on version 0.8.0, covers installation, sign-in with Bio-ID, permissions and the Jefferson connector for Claude.
